A flame sensor is a detector, designed to detect and respond to the presence of a flame or fire. This types of sensor can be used for detecting fire in a short range. You can able to find mostly accurate result upto about 3 feet of distance. This sensor is very sensitive to the IR wavelength at 760 nm ~ 1100 nm light. By adjusting the potentiometer you can set a predefined threshold level. If the sensing signal level is higher than the predefined threshold level, the module output pin (named as "D0") goes to LOW, where as the default status of D0 is HIGH.
Specification:
• Uses a wide voltage LM393 comparator
• Detection range: 760nm~1100nm
• Lighter flame test distance of 80cm, for the greater flame, the farther the distance test
• The detection angle of 60 degrees or so, particularly sensitive to the flame spectrum
• Sensitivity adjustable (shown in digital potentiometer adjustment)
• The comparator output signal clean, good waveform, driving ability, more than 15mA
• With adjustable precision potentiometer sensitivity adjustment
• Working voltage of 3.3V-5V
• Output format: digital switching outputs (0 and 1)
• A fixed bolt holes for easy installation
• PCB Size: 3.2cm x 1.4cm
