TR-8A Line Follower IR Reflectance Sensor 8 Array
The QTR-8A Reflectance Sensor Array is a high-precision line sensor module designed for line following, maze solving, and object detection projects. It features 8 IR emitter and receiver pairs evenly spaced at 9.525mm intervals, providing accurate reflectance measurement for robotics applications. Each sensor produces an analog voltage output (0V–5V) depending on the reflected infrared light — lower voltage means higher reflection. The outputs are independent, ensuring smooth line detection and tracking. The built-in MOSFET control allows you to turn the IR LEDs on/off via a microcontroller, which helps in saving power or controlling LED brightness using PWM. The module supports both 5V and 3.3V operation, with typical current consumption below 100mA.
